New research shows that successful weight loss can still be achieved even after splurging on the weekends. A Cornell University study followed 80 adults, between the ages of 25 and 62 and found that individuals who lost weight over the period of the study were actually more likely to splurge over the weekend. Researchers note that successful weight control is more achievable if diets aren’t excessively restrictive, but allow for short-term splurges.
