A new study from Harvard University found that the number of calories consumed is not necessarily as important as the quality of those calories. Three different diets were tested – low-fat, low-carb, and low-glycemic. Of the three groups, the low-fat dieters’ bodies burned fewer calories than when they were following a low-carb or low-glycemic diet. The most effective diet at burning calories was the low-carb plan.
